Very versatile heavy duty piece of workout equipment. A must have for exercise or anyone with chronic back and shoulder pain. Mounts in a variety of doorframes and feels very secure! My favorite “weight machine“ yet! Seeing how many pull-ups/chin-ups or other things you can do gets addicting. 100% rating it 5 stars!
This is a great product that saved me $$$. I weigh about 180 and this pull up bar is sturdy. It didn't budge. And holds up to 640 lbs. I wish this bar came with extra brackets to set up at different levels in my door frame. People say it'll hold without them but i just like the idea of super sturdy at all times. Whether i use this for dips or pushups or even Russian pullups. I'm surprised at the weight of the bar. Not flimsy and not cheap. My doorway is 26 inches wide and this bar does adjust. Just rotate the center of it to tighten or remove it. All in all. Easy, quick, setup. - Also before i forget . You can attach your resistance bands to this bar. A hanging punching bag (be wary of its weight) can be hung on this as well.
I decided to see if it was strong enough in that configuration to hold mt weight (170)lbs. I was able to hang or even do pull ups. The bar is very sturdy for what I need and possibly more once my arm/shoulder get stronger. I didn't want a permanent or semi permanent mount so I could move it up or down easily for different stretches/exercises and this definitely works for that.
I moved into a new apartment with doors that had very slim frames and my old "over-the-door" mounted pull-up bar was no longer usable. 1. The metal and other materials are quite substantial and should be very durable in the long run. 2. The bar locks into place by rotating two side pieces with a strong metal screw piece in the center. By having two ends pulling out rather than just one end, the bar is stronger and less likely to bend. 3. The inner section is not a simple spring, but actually a screw-rod. Springs can lose tension quite easily, while this inner mechanism is very tough and allows the two side pieces to lock into place by twisting the entire bar, moving both ends either wider or narrower. Overall, while I had originally thought that this bar was going to be a downgrade from my previous over-the-door designs, it's actually more stable and much stronger. As a bonus, you can actually tension it within the door frame and still allow your doors to open and close! An excellent buy! Do not hesitate to purchase!
absolutely better than expected. It is solidly constructed, heavy yet easy to adjust. Then end brackets are sturdy, came with all mounting screws and 2 internal black standoffs. Attached to door frame and have no issues whatsoever. I would purchase more but most family and friends are not into this type of fitness training as I am. But...may just purchase more in the future to get them into physical training anyway.. I recommend this product due to quality and product support.
Price and build quality are great! Super easy to assemble and provides plenty of different grips for a varied workout. I wouldn't change a thing on this little beauty.
Easy to assemble. Exactly the same as the other more expensive variations seen in gyms and stores. Comfortable hand grips, however after heavy use they are starting to rip which one should kind of expect with a product that holds your body weight. Overall, Great purchase, Highly Recommended,.
I totally didn't understand how this thing would work when I ordered it. After you put the bars together, it goes right up in the door frame, resting on the door trim. We added a few more nails to the wood trim around the door just to be safe. The bar goes up every morning for my son's workout and he takes it down and stores it in his closet when he's done. Very sturdy and well made. My son doesn't weigh much, but my husband has also used it and it stayed up right in place. Very happy with our purchase.
I was initially very worried as I was pulling it out of the box and setting it up that this would be too flimsy or too poor of a design to hold my body weight. But once it was up there and I did my first pull up i was relieved to find it worked perfectly. I haven't had any accidents or problems with it. The padding is thick enough to protect the trim on the door. I've found that wide grip feels the most sturdy and safe, if anyone is wondering. Still love it
Works perfectly for my needs. I assembled it in about 10 minutes. Minor mistakes in the manual, though. Make sure that you screw in the bar from the top, not the bottom like the manual shows, so that the screw fits in perfectly. Also note the difference between the "short" and "long" screws, since they are shown to be identical in the picture. The shorter screws go in the top part, and the longer screws go in the bottom ones. Aside from this minor inconvenience, the bar is excellent, and it works well in my door. I also was happy to use it as a push up bar, so that this protects your wrists from strain when doing push ups on a bare floor. Also, can't beat the price, so buy this now!
